Congrats to the Castrol/Speed Trapp Team for running AST 4200s on their BMW 3 series. The team posted the 2nd fastest lap time in their class but unfortunately had unscheduled brake wear stops putting them back to 6th. Anthony Zwain states, “The AST’s worked great and lasted the entire race without an issue, thanks! There was only one other team (the class winner) faster than our car. They had another company’s triple adjustable shocks and spent about 3 times what we did in car preparation.”

We made it back in one piece from Orlando. What a great show. We met many new shops and racers from around the country and globe for that matter. One display were several current and new models from AST. The rally “jumbo” shock was a hit with those passing by along with the new Corvette coilovers. These new coilovers will be the most complete set on the market. There was nothing but positive comments on them.
There will be several videos recorded from the booth we’ll link here soon.
Today at Circuit Zolder Ast-Suspension and Toyo Tires has tested the new AST 3-way adjustable suspension for the Porsche 997 GT3 of Lammertink Porsche. Toyo test driver and FIA GT driver Tom Coronel was very impressed with the handling of the car . Tom Coronel recently won his first FIA WTCC race in Japan. Look for more testing with Mr. Coronel in the future.
AST developed a suspension setup based off the highly successful Competition model found in its current line up. Creventic BV will be building turn-key endurance race cars using AST’s triple adjustable race suspension. This same suspension is available for popular Japanese, European, and American sports cars. Best of luck to the Creventic team in their debut race!
Well we made it back in one piece. Let’s hope the shocks do too! We had a great time meeting old friends, new friends and having a great time outside the show too. We’ll do a more detailed update later, but it was a great launch for AST in the States. Special thanks to AST BV for coming over from Holland and helping with the show.
We had some very influential industry specialists coming by to see the products and sending still others by to see the products as well. They were very complimentary of the product quality and the innovation that our new double adjustables have with the TPDA valving for compression adjustment. Some special topics we’ll follow up with on the news section:
